Description

This course is ONE of two requirements for taking "Crestron - Foundations of Crestron Programming" (P101).

This course lasts 1 full day and is online, instructor-led, but also contains a "Test-Out" option.

In this course, you will learn through instructor demonstrations to build a foundational understanding of Crestron systems, devices, and best practices. The course includes content applicable to both residential and commercial systems, providing learners with a comprehensive understanding of how Crestron solutions are implemented.

After successful completion of this class, a student will be able to:
-Recognize core technologies: Discover communication protocols, how Crestron devices communicate with each other and 3rd party devices, learn about PoE, HDMI®, DisplayPort®, and Consumer Electronics Control (CEC)
-Apply best practices: Learn how to implement RF, network security, and Cresnet® standards and best practices
-Work with Crestron tools: Learn about Crestron Toolbox™, Crestron Home™, Crestron Home Configurator, .AV Framework™, and XiO Cloud® for configuration, troubleshooting, firmware updates, and more
-Explore system integration: Research common communication protocols (Ethernet, IR, Serial etc), & lighting protocols (DMX, DALI)
-Choosing a control system: Learn to choose the right control solution for various scenarios and application requirements
-Manage system Deployment and updates through Crestron Home™ or XiO Cloud®

*After completing the instructor-led class, the course exam will be available in your "CTI Dashboard's To-do list."

This certification is worth 3.5 CTS Renewal Units.
